At the time that Belgian fruit beers became very popular in British pubs. It was decided that an English equivalent would sell well.
Rather than copy the Continental style, we looked for an indigenous fruit that would complement a typical English beer. Consequently a then unique, beer was formed.
Judging by the number of similar beers now available it has proved an obvious success.
Hops used are Target and Challenger.
