The first ever mobile phone call was made on April 3rd 1973 by Marty Cooper, Then vice president of Motorola Corp and father of the mobile phone.

This historic call was made to rival Bell Labs head of research, Dr. Joel S. Engel, to tell him that the game was up, and as Marty said it pleased him no end to be one step ahead of the competition.

That first brick sized handset has led to there being more than six billion now in use worldwide, more than one for every adult human being on the planet.

Hops used are American Crystal and Magnum.
