The Soviets liberated Czechoslovakia in 1945 and they marked the event by mounting a tank on a large plynth.

During a 1991 spring night, art student David Cerney and friends stole out and painted it pink for freedom.

David was arrested and the tank was repainted green only to emerge again in pink after being repainted by fifteen Czech MP’s.

It's popularity in pink was an embarrassment to the regime so it was removed, while David went on to become a celebrated conceptual artist.

The hops in this Continental style beer are Czech Agnus and Kasbec.
