On the 18th February 2004 Travis Metcalfe and his team of Harvard Smithsonian Institute Astronomers discovered the existence of the biggest diamond in the Universe.

It is a white dwarf star that has a 300km wide core of crystalised carbon or diamond weighing 2.27 thousand trillion trillion tons.

Travis calls it the “mother of all diamonds” and it carries the unofficial name of Lucy from the Beatles hit ‘Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds’.

Hops used are American Comet & Eldorado.
