An Australian cricket team touring England in 1934, played a preliminary match against Cambridge University.

Australian star Donald Bradman faced a ball from J.G.W. Davies of St. John's college and an off break that didn't turn got the great man out for a duck.

Davies, afterwards. said "I felt as though I ought to fetch him back and tell him I hadn't meant to bowl that sort of ball".

Australia won the match and the eventual Ashes whilst Davies went on to play for Kent.
