The 31st Summer Olympic Games opens on 5th August 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

More than 10,000 athletes, representing 207 nations, will be competing in 31 sports, with 306 sets of medals awarded over the course of the Games.

Three new sports will be competed for: Golf, Rugby Sevens & Kitesurfing.
