The Ides of March correspond to the 15th of March and it was a Roman deadline for settling debts..

A Seer had warned that harm would come to Caesar by the Ides of March and indeed Caesar was stabbed to death on that date by his Senate members.

Our most memorable depiction of this was in Carry on Cleo in 1964 when Kenneth Williams as Caesar uttered that famous comic line “Infamy! Infamy! They’ve all got it in for me”.

The hops in this beer are Janus (A Roman God) and Target.
