1909 Manchester Bitter – Be part of the 19th April Launch event!

A Taste of History

Having assumed operation of Burton Bridge & Heritage Brewing Co on the 19th April 2024 we thought we would dig around for some classic brewing recipes to cook up a bit of history to celebrate our first year in operation.

1909 Manchester Bitter is a tribute to the rich brewing traditions of the Northwest. A place close to our hearts here at the brewery. This beer delivers a perfect balance of malt sweetness and hop bitterness, just as it would have been enjoyed over a century ago.

Pouring a golden-amber hue, it boasts biscuity malt notes, a hint of toffee, and a crisp, earthy hop character. The finish is dry, refreshing, and unmistakably Mancunian—a true nod to the timeless tradition of the region’s bitters.

It will be launched on the 19th April so if you want to pre-order or are interested in being a part of the launch, let me know!

‘L’ of a Beer
Celebrating 50 Years of Burton & South Derbyshire CAMRA

In honour of Burton & South Derbyshire CAMRA’s 50th anniversary, we’re proud to present ‘L’ of a Beer, with the ‘L’ symbolising their 50th year in operation in Roman numerals.

Crafted with a deep respect for traditional Extra Strong Bitters, ‘L’ of a Beer, showcases a dark, rich mahogany hue and a perfectly balanced malt-hop profile. We’ve combined rye, barley, and a carefully selected hop bill to create a beer that is both bold and complex. Expect caramel and toffee notes, a touch of spicy rye, and a firm yet refined earthy hop bitterness.

Here’s to 50 years of Burton & South Derbyshire CAMRA 🍻
